
Jack Gregory, who fought for Australia against South Africa 1921, first reached the fastest test hundred. Gregory reached three figures in just 67 deliveries. In 1921, Gregory beat the previous record for 67 by over 100 runs. Adam Gilchrist broke the record with one out of 57 balls. He beat it by two runs.
Brendon McCullum
Brendon McGullum achieved his fastest test century by scoring against Australia. He reached the century in 54 balls, breaking the 56-ball record set by Misbah-ul Haq and Viv Richards. McCullum struck 16 fours with his innings and four sixes. McCullum was also the second Test batsman to score a century in Australia.
Adam Gilchrist
Adam Gilchrist, one of Australia’s most popular batsmen has achieved double centuries in three different occasions. He was able to hit 204 off just 213 deliveries in the 2001 South Africa Test. He also scored a 122 to beat India in Mumbai the following year. Australia went from 98/5 wins to 173 in victory. Gilchrist is known for his aggressive nature and ability to dominate opponents. Most recently, he scored an unbeaten 102 at the WACA in Perth during the 2005-06 Ashes. He scored 8 sixes, and 19 fours in the innings.

Sir Vivian Richards
Sir Vivian Richards' 56-ball century against the West Indies is still the fastest ever test century by an Englishman. The former captain is known for being one the most destructive cricketers in Test cricket. He was also a key player with West Indies. Between 1984 and 1991, he was the captain of the team for 50 Tests. Richards, a former Somerset batsman, is one of four non-English players to score a hundred first class runs. He was named Wisden cricketer of century.
Ashton Agar
Ashton Agar broke the world record for fastest test century in 2012 against England. The youngster is just 19 years old and is considered one of the rising stars of Australian cricket. Many predicted that he would break the record on his Test debut.
AB de Villiers
AB de Villiers' record-breaking century is a major achievement in cricket. South African cricketer AB de Villiers reached a century in just seventy-five deliveries. This breaks the previous record of 95 runs held by Denis Lindsay and Shaun Pollock against Australia and Sri Lanka. His century was vital to South Africa’s 2-0 series victory.
Sehwag
Virender (or Nawab or Najafgarh) Sehwag made his international debut as a player against Pakistan in 1999. Even though he was not successful in his debut, he rebounded by scoring a century for South Africa the following year. The next year, he became India's first Test cricket batsman to reach a record of three centuries. Sehwag also broke many records over his 14-year international playing career.

R. C. Fredericks
R. C. Fredericks, a small left-hander from Berbice, scored the fastest Test century ever recorded in the history the game. He was a small left-hander, originally from Berbice. He made his debut for British Guyana between 1963 and 1964. He was later a West Indian cricketer who played nine years and appeared in 59 of the Tests that he took part in between 1968-77. Fredericks was often the opener but he also occasionally played traditional cricket.
R. C. Botham
England's allrounder Ian Botham. He is also the only cricketer to achieve both of these marks in the same series. Botham scored a magnificent 109 runs from 87 balls in his first test hundred. He scored an unbeaten century with 13 fours, sixes, and sixes.
