Sir Vivian Richards' 56-ball hundred against the West Indies remains the fastest test century ever made by an Englishman. The former captain has a reputation as one of the most destructive batsmen in Test cricket and was a key player for West Indies. Between 1984-91, he was the captain for 50 Tests. Richards is a former Somerset batsman and one of only four non-English players who have scored 100 first class runs. He was named one of the Wisden Cricketers of the Century.

R. C. Fredericks won the 1975 Test century record for the fastest in the game's history. He was a left-handed player from Berbice who made his debut in the British Guyana Test team in 1963-64. He later played for the West Indies for nine years, appearing in 59 Tests between 1968 and 1977. Fredericks was usually the opener, but also played as a traditional batsman at times.

R. C. Botham

England's All-rounder Ian Botham. He has taken five wickets and reached a hundred in one test. He is the only player to have both the hundred and five wickets in the same series. Botham's first test hundred was a stunning 109 from 87 balls. His century was unbeaten and included 13 fours as well as sixes.
